Will Brooklyn's Nets next move be Jordan Hill of the Lakers?

The Brooklyn Nets have now acquired Marcus Thornton from the Sacramento Kings and word has it that they have gotten the go ahead to get a deal done with the Los Angeles Lakers for frontcourt player Jordan Hill.
The Nets now have an available roster spot with the recent trade of Terry/Evans for Thornton so Hill could be an athletic big that can give Brooklyn some productive minutes off the bench. Hill is currently averaging 8.5 points and seven rebounds a game for the Lakers this season.
Brooklyn will use the DPE they got for the Brook Lopez injury of $5.25M. for Hill’s $3.5M salary this season.
These two moves, if Hill does end up in Brooklyn, are not “shift the balance of power in the East” acquisitions but it does rid the Nets of two non productive players for two players who can contribute and take some minutes from the veterans down the stretch.

Mikhail Prokhorov has plenty of money. But it’s still shocking that he would be willing to take a $17 million hit for Jordan Hill — Chris Mannix (@ChrisMannixSI) February 19, 2014
To recap: Long-term, @BrooklynNets might have trouble signing Jordan Hill. But Prokhorov did just give go-ahead to make a deal w the @Lakers — Sean Deveney (@SeanDeveney) February 19, 2014

Told it is unlikely the Nets will keep after Jordan Hill. Probably couldn’t re-sign him anyway — he didn’t much like NYC the first time — Sean Deveney (@SeanDeveney) February 19, 2014
