Nets all in thru ’15, & will pay any tax thru then. But decks must be clear for ’16/Durant FA summer. Yahoo! first reported Thornton deal. — David Aldridge (@daldridgetnt) February 19, 2014
The latest trade rumor has just been dropped as Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that the Brooklyn Nets and the Sacramento Kings are talking about sending Jason Terry and Reggie Evans to the Kings for Marcus Thorton.
This latest rumor comes off of yesterday’s Jarret Jack for Jason Terry proposed swap that has been declared “on the back burner” in Cleveland. Thornton is averaging 8.3 points and 2.7 rebounds per game with the Kings in limited action this season although he can score when needed and would be an upgrade to both Terry and Evans. He currently makes $8.05M this season and $8.575M next season.

Sources told me talks w/ Thornton for Evans-Terrry are heating up & it could happen “soon” (one said). Also hearing Greg Monroe won’t move. — Jared Zwerling (@JaredZwerling) February 19, 2014
Terry said a trade would be “kind of disappointing” because he expected to win a title with Nets. Evans called rumors, “Typical NBA sh*t.” — Andy Vasquez (@andy_vasquez) February 19, 2014
