VIDEO – Nets Recap: #Suns 79 – #Nets 99
Suns 79 – Nets 109
The Brooklyn Nets have now won five games in a row and are looking for more. This game was ugly as any game this year for the Nets in the first half and they let Phoenix shoot 55 percent from the field in the half and did not play with much energy at all.
The Nets were already missing key players to start the game with Humphries, Teletovic and Stackhouse all out and to make it worse Gerald Wallace took a hard foul and had to leave the game with bruised ribs from the fall in the first quarter.
They managed to make it out of the first half only down by seven points and that in itself was a feat with the way they played. That all changed in the third quarter as they outscored the Suns 28-13 led my MarShon Brooks (17 points) and Andray Blatche (15 points and 8 rebounds). The Bench Mob continued its great play in the final quarter to put the Suns away and win 99-79.
The Nets made history by winning their third straight game by 20 or more points and this was the first time the Nets achieved the feat in the NBA. It was done by the Nets of the ABA in 1975 but never in the NBA until now.
