Brook Lopez scored the first nine points for the Nets while Chris Kaman hit two quick jumpers for Dallas.  Game was tied at 14 midway through the first.  The Mavs had balanced scoring for most of the quarter and Mike James hit two 3-pointers. The Nets couldn’t throw it in the ocean and shot 9-25 from the field and went down 10 points, 32-22 after one.  Lopez saved the Nets with 15 first quarter points.

Joe Johnson who was 0-3 in the first came out with the Bench Mob and quickly got them on a 5-0 run to cut the lead to 32-27.  Keith Bogans hit a 3-pointer and it sparked the Nets to a 12-4 run to start the quarter.  The defense looked much better and the Nets stormed back to tie it at 38 with six to play in the second.  Andray Blatche went 6-6 for 14 points in the second and played good minutes with Lopez on the floor.  Game was tied at 51 at half with the Nets centers combining for 32 points and nine rebounds.

PJ – Very good win against a very good team in a tough building.  We had so many guys do a good job, i can’t say we defended them but we slowed them down a little bit.  Reggie did a very good job on Dirk.  we had a lot of guys play well, our two bigs were enormous.  Brook likes this building evidently, Deron was out of his mind, Gerald had five steals and Reggie had 22 rebounds so a lot of guys played very very well for us..Deron Williams dribbling

Lopez continued his good play with six quick points to keep the Nets in it.  Not much defense was being played at all as both teams scored at will for the first six minutes of the third. Deron Williams woke up a bit and was more aggressive in the third and scored 13 in the quarter.  Lopez added 14 points in the quarter to give the Nets an 85-77 lead after three.

Williams came out in the fourth and scored 10 straight points to help stem a Dallas run.  Lopez had a big dunk to get the lead back to seven points and the wheels started to come off for Dallas. Williams continued his hot shooting and hit from everywhere on the court in the fourth.  Williams single handedly put the game away late and made it a laugher. Big road win for the Nets 113-96.
