The game started well for Brooklyn but the second quarter the defense lacked and they went into halftime down 50-46.  The game was tied at 70 going into the fourth quarter and then the Bench Mob helped the Nets gain a five point lead and the starters came back to outscore the Blazers 28-15 to end the game.

Reggie Evans was a manchild once again and had 14 rebounds on only 22 minutes to continue to be the leader in the NBA in rebounds per 48 minutes at 19.9.

Evans after the game said “We tryin’ to win championships. We ain’t worrying about being the best team in New York.”

“There was a sense of urgency. We talked about it at halftime. I was really disappointed with our defense in the first half. They responded.” — Nets Coach Avery Johnson
