VIDEO RECAP – FINAL: #Jazz 88 – #Nets 104

The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Utah Jazz last night by a score of 104-88  in Brooklyn last night.

[box] The Nets came out last night like they wanted to make a point to everyone that the 21 point loss in Orlando on Sunday was an aberration rather than the norm.  Mission accomplished.

The game started exactly how the Nets planned as they ran out to a 12-2 run and never looked back.

The plan was obviously to pound the younger Jazz inside with Brook Lopez and it worked out perfectly as Lopez scored a game-high 27-points in only 25 minutes while Deron Williams added 10 points and eight assists in 24 minutes on the floor.

Brooklyn had six players in double figures with Joe Johnson (12), Paul Pierce (11), Andray Blatche (10), Shaun Livingston (11) adding to Lopez and Williams point totals.

The balance was great to see as every player on the Nets team played at least 10 minutes and they were also able to rest Kevin Garnett as he only played 13 minutes in the blowout win.

Lopez was the man who dominated the game from the very beginning and set the tone for the rest of the team.  His maturity and added strength are really showing in the early season and that bodes well for the Nets as they are still learning to play with one another.

Jason Kidd got his first head coaching win and the players turned out the lights in the lockerrom after the game and resented him with the game ball.

KEY STATS: The Nets scored 58 points in the paint and shot 32 free throw’s which is a far cry from the debacle that took place on Sunday with the jump shots.
