Social Media Night in Brooklyn on Monday for Raptors game

The Brooklyn Nets will be holding Social Media Night in Brooklyn on Monday when they take on the division rival Toronto Raptors in a big game that could help in deciding the division title.

Social media is a huge part of today’s world and sports fans tend to use it to vent and discuss their favorite teams more than other segments of the population so it is not unusual to see the NBA utilizing the trend to its benefit.

Players will be wearing shooting shorts with their Twitter handles on the back rather than their names for the night.

This is a tradition that the Nets have used since January 18, 2011 when they first hosted this type of event when they played the Detroit Pistons and have done in each year since.
