Sheridan Has Howard 50-50 To Brooklyn By Deadline???
Chris Sheridan of Sheridan Hoops joined the “Joe and Evan show” this afternoon and shocked a few people with his thoughts on Dwight Howard and where he thinks he may end up in the next 48 hours. Sheridan seemed quite intent that the Nets would be looking to acquire Howard knowing how “miserable” Howard was at the recent All-Star game.
This saga with Howard has gone on for over two years and some think it will come to head quicker rather than later and Sheridan is one of them.
Sheridan gave the Nets a 50-50 chance of landing the disgruntled big man by Thursday.
The Howard-to-the-Nets rumors are back in full force.
“I think the Nets are going after Dwight Howard,” Chris Sheridan of Sheridan Hoops told WFAN c0-hosts Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts on Tuesday. “That’s their No. 1 target. He’s been their No. 1 target for two years. Everybody in the NBA is well aware that the Lakers are a complete mess … Despite their denials and despite their telling Dwight Howard, ‘Look, we’re not going to trade you,’ at a certain point they have to realize that this is a lost season for the Los Angeles Lakers.”
“The Nets were willing last year to give up Brook Lopez and five first-round picks to get this guy,” Sheridan said. “The Nets have been trying to get this guy for two years … They can get him without giving up Brook. They (can) give up (Kris) Humphries, MarShon Brooks, Tyshawn Taylor, a couple No. 1 picks — and then the one that really makes the deal, and you have to follow European basketball to get this — is they throw in all the European players.”
Sheridan believes that there is a 50-50 chance that Brooklyn lands D12 before Thursday’s deadline.
“I was out in Houston this past weekend at the All-Star Game and I spent a lot of time talking to Dwight Howard,” Sheridan said. “Let me tell you something — the guy is miserable. I’ve never seen a player as miserable in his current circumstances as this guy is right now. He said he wants the game to be fun for him again.”
