[quote_simple]NETS STARTERS

The starting lineup will once again be limited with Shaun Livingston playing alongside Joe Johnson in the backcourt with Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett up front and the man in the middle Andray Blatche.

Same old news on the injury front for the Nets as tonight will be one more game without Deron Williams and Brook Lopez.  Two reserves also will not play in Jason Terry and Andrei Kirilenko.

Brooklyn played much tougher inside last night in the win at Toronto and they will need to follow that up tonight to gave a chance a a home win.

LAKERS STARTERS

The Lakers starting lineup will be Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks in the backcourt with Wesley Johnson,  Jordan Hill and Pau Gasol playing in the frontcourt.

The Lakers are also searching for an identity much like the Nets although their issues are personnel and Brooklyn’s problems are injuries.

They have been up and down all year as their record states and just allowed the Wizards to shoot 53 percent on them in the loss.

Kobe Bryant, who recently signed a two-year 48 million extension, will not be making his debut this season tonight in Brooklyn and is continuing to rehab his torn Achilles.

[quote_simple][box]Game Notes:

The Lakers’ are trying to extend a 10-game win streak over the Brooklyn.

The Nets are looking for their first back-to-back wins of the season.

Brooklyn has lost three straight at home.

The Lakers defeated the Nets in both meetings between the two teams last season (95-90 in LA and 92-83 in Brooklyn).

[box]WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Building a streak

The Nets have not won back-to-back games all season and the only way to dig themselves out of this horrible start is to put a streak together.Kevin Garnett YES pic

The only way to gain momentum is to put a few wins in a row on the board. Play with the same intensity each game and stop worrying about who is not playing and focus on who is playing.

Los Angeles is 1-5 on the road in this early season so Brooklyn needs to come out quickly and set the tone for the game and not let it be set for them.
