The Brooklyn Nets got a chance to practice for the first time in their new home – The Barclays Center on Sunday morning and they used the time to get a feel for the building.

General manager Billy King was one of the first ones to tweet a picture of the event on Sunday.

The court was not the distinctive and eye popping “Herringbone” court but a practice court that other events at Barclays handle.  Brooklyn Hoops was on the baseline of the court.

The players talked to the media after the practice and answered some “first time” questions about the experience.

Asked Joe Johnson about 50 wins: “We’re shooting higher than that,” he said.

@rodboone

Hump on #Nets new digs: “First class. I’ve never seen anything like it. Everything’s so much bigger and nicer than what we are used to.”

Hump: “It comes down to fans at the games, us playing hard and winning games. All this other stuff is great, but it’s about winning.”

Joe on being at Barclays: “It was great to get in this atmosphere & get a chance to shoot on the rims & give you that shootaround feeling.”

D-Will on @barclayscenter depth perception: “This is a basketball arena, so you are not going to have that problem. It was good.” #Nets

.@krishumphries said the rims “are a little tight” since they are brand new, but is hopeful the @globies will break ’em in tonight.

None of the #Nets reported any issues with traffic or logistics getting here today. But of course, as they noted, it’s Sunday.
