The Brooklyn Nets officially traded Tyshawn Taylor and cash considerations to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for the draft rights to Edin Bavcic on Tuesday.

Wednesday the Pelicans decided to cut ties with the point guard and have released him. He will now become a free agent that is free to sign with any team once he clears waivers.

That was a quick stint in New Orleans for Taylor who obviously was used to help facilitate New Orleans getting some cash from the Nets and help Brooklyn free up a roster spot.

Taylor may be able to find a team rather quickly with the rash of injuries to the point guard position this season.
