Nets vs Knicks Feud Continues……

About three weeks ago Ian Begley reported that JR Smith called Paul Pierce “bitter” for his New York Knicks comments in August in which he stated that his “hatred” for the Knicks has surely grown with his move to Brooklyn.

[quote_box]”I just look at him as a bitter person just getting out of Boston. He doesn’t really know what New York is all about. He’s been playing in Boston his whole career,” Smith told ESPN New York on Saturday.

Smith, speaking without anger in his voice, added: “He just knows, just know that his words have consequences and he’s going to have to pay for them.”[/quote_box]

Now it seems that Pierce has finally responded and he did so in a very funny way when asked about Smith calling him bitter via Mike Mazzeo of ESPNNY.

[quote_box]”Who? Who?” Pierce repeated Thursday when asked about Smith’s comments.

Asked again, Pierce said, “Who? Exactly. Who? Who are we talking about right now? Exactly. Who are we talking about? We are talking about nothing.” [/quote_box]

I personally love this witty banter that is flowing back and forth between the two New York teams and this can only be great ammunition for a few remarkable games this upcoming season.
I love the fact that Pierce and other Nets are letting it be known that Brooklyn is coming to take the city over and no one, even the forever overrated Knicks, can stand in their way.
