Celtics 97 – Nets 102

Brooklyn’s backcourt of Deron Williams and Joe Johnson combined for 43 points and 12 assists although they did not shoot well combining to go 12-36 from the floor. Lopez picked up the slack and had a big bucket late in the game to seal the win for Brooklyn for their fourth win in a row.

Brook Lopez (24 points, six rebounds, 11-14 shooting) led the Nets to the victory while Paul Pierce (22 points) came up big in the second half for the Celtics until missed two crucial free throws down the stretch which cost Boston a chance to win the game.

The Nets have now won four in a row and that hasn’t happened in years. Good things ahead for this new-look Brooklyn team and they haven’t even begun to hit on all cylinders yet.
