In the latest edition of “The Days of our Nets” we have a new twist that involves lawyers and legal fees.

Tonight the NY Post is reporting that reassigned assistant coach Lawrence Frank is in the process of retaining “high-powered” legal counsel.

This news seems to spell out the word BUYOUT for the disgruntled coach which most assumed would happen but not this quickly.

Frank cannot be happy preparing daily reports for Jason Kidd, a menial task for an assistant, and most likely would like to salvage his reputation that seems to be taking quite a hit right now throughput the press.

News also circulated this morning that a “smear campaign” is under way as per Adrian Wojnarowski in a tweet he has since deleted from his Twiiter feed.

[quote_box]Smear campaign underway on deposed Nets assistant Lawrence Frank is predictable and pitiful, but he won’t last long as franchise scapegoat.

The breakout of Kidd-Frank is now national news and it is just one more annoying factor that is limiting the Nets from coming together as a team with all the new faces acquired in the offseason.

The beat goes on………and so do the losses.
