NETS GAME NIGHT – #Timberwolves @ #Nets Nets Look To Go 2-0 Without Crash
GAMENIGHT
Minnesota Timberwolves (1-1) @ Brooklyn Nets (1-0)
Barclays Center 7:30
TV: YES – NBATV RADIO: WFAN 660 AM
Gerald Wallace will not be playing tonight at the Barclays Center where the Nets host the Minnesota Timberwolves. Wallace is still recovering from a sprained left ankle late in the Nets win on Saturday night. Keith Bogans will start in place of Crash and the Nets will spread the playing time around with different lineups to cover up for the huge loss of Wallace.
The Timberwolves come into tonight following a sloppy loss last night to the Toronto Raptors 105-86. Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio will not play for the Wolves and the status of JJ Barea is up in the air with concussion symptons following a kick to the head. The Wolves turned the ball over 24 times against the Raptors and that didn’t sit well with some new offseason additions.
Andrei Kirilenko spoke about the last loss – “It’s too many turnovers,” Kirilenko said. “You can’t win the game when every guy loses three or four balls. We have to work on this. It wasn’t really forced turnovers, we just threw them away.”
The Nets look to take advantage of the Timberwolves playing last night and notch their second win in their new home tonight and Brook Lopez will look to back up his nice first game. Lopez will try to improve his rebounding numbers tonight and keep the free throw attempts up while staying aggressive on both ends. I think Joe Johnson may find his way tonight and has a good matchup with an again Brandon Roy.
INJURY REPORT:
Josh Childress (sore left ankle) is doubtful.
Gerald Wallace (left ankle) is out.
