The Nets are coming back home after beating the hapless Toronto Raptors 94.-88 on Wednesday Night. The Nets were sleep walking through the game through the entire first half and it wasn’t until they hit a few three’s that they started playing good basketball.
Joe Johnson broke out of his shooting slump to score 23 points and go 7-for-14 from two point range and a much needed 4-for-6 from 3-point range. Johnson added four rebounds and two assists to his total. C.J. Watson broke out to score 16 points off the bench with a 4-for-7 night from the field and went 4-for-4 from 3-point range. Watson added six rebounds, three assists and two steals to fill out his impressive stat line.
“We’ll take a win any way we can get it right now,” said guard Deron Williams, who delivered a halftime pep talk to his teammates. “It’s good to get back on a winning track. It’s something we needed in the worst way.”
The Nets NEED this win badly as they must beat teams like this every time.
