The Nets are looking to take their modest win streak to three when they play host to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Barclays Center tonight. The Cavs are trying to end a losing streak of their own and with Kyrie Irving and company coming to Brooklyn for the first time the Nets better be prepared for a fight.

Reggie Evans came out today and said the Nets need to be “more like Gerald Wallace” and step up the defense and I totally agree and it better happen from the start so the upstart Cavs do not get any confidence.

The Cavaliers defense has been a main concern for coach Byron Scott and he let his team know about it.

“I thought we were okay,” Cleveland head coach Byron Scott said following the loss. “Any time you allow a team to shoot 55 percent, you’re not going to win a whole lot of games. We have to continue to work on that transition defense, and we have to continue to work on and get better at that aspect of the game, too … we need someone else to just really step up.”

INJURY REPORT:

MarShon Brooks (left ankle) OUT
