GAMENIGHT

Charlotte Bobcats (7-21) @ Brooklyn Nets (14-14)

Barclays Center 7:30

TV: YES – RADIO: WFAN 660AM

The Brooklyn Nets just fired their head coach Avery Johnson yesterday after a 60-116 record and a horrid 3-10 stretch with the team getting blown out of recent games.  They will try to win their fourth game on the entire month of December for interim coach PJ Carlisemo in his debut.  What a perfect time for the Charlotte Bobcats to come to Brooklyn.

“We don’t have the same fire now than we did when we were 11-4,” general manager Billy King said of his current 14-14 squad.

If firing the coach doesn’t send a message to these Brooklyn Nets then maybe playing the Bobcats can help moral and point them back in the right direction after losing five out of the last six games.  The players were starting to question each other as well as the Avery Johnson so the move was needed and getting off to good start and winning these next two games could be just what the doctor ordered for the Nets.

INJURY REPORT:

Deron Williams (bruised right wrist) is questionable.

Kris Humphries (sore abdominal muscle) is OUT.

Toko Shengelia (flu) is OUT.
