The Brooklyn Nets have added Alan Anderson, shooting guard/small forward, to the team to add more depth to an already stellar lineup as per Adrian Wojnowarski of Yahoo Sports.

The deal is reported to be a two year fully guaranteed deal with a player option for the second year at two million per year.

Anderson is a four year NBA player who played the last two years with the Toronto Raptors after playing his first two years with the Charlotte Bobcats.  He played his college ball at Michigan State for Tom Izzo.

He had his best season last year averaging 10.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.6 assist per game with the Raptors while playing only 23 minutes per game.  Anderson has good size at 6’6 and 220 pounds so his length and athleticism will be an added addition to the Nets.

Most people remember Anderson’s name from the two great games he had against the New York Knicks last year where he scored 26 and 35 points in those games.  He is also known for his name being thrown around as a replacement when Kyle Korver decided to resign with the Atlanta Hawks this offseason.
