Jay Z already sold his shares to the Brooklyn Nets to head coach Jason Kidd not too long ago and now it seems he is selling his shares in the Barclays Center as well.

The amount of money Jay Z will get for his shares varies but estimated amount should be at least $1.5 million so I dont think he will go hungry for very long.

His company Roc Nation has recently signed the Oklahoma City Thunder’s Kevin Durant, Robinson Cano of the New York YankeesVictor Cruz of the New York Giants, and Skylar Diggins of the WNBA’s Tulsa Shock to date.  It has also been reported that he represent the New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith.

Everything seems to be coming up roses for the Nets ever since Jay Z got involved with them so maybe some of that good luck will rub off and spur the Nets on to win the championship.

We can always dream Nets fans.

The rapper has already begun selling his stake in the NBA team, getting $500,000 from Nets head coach Jason Kidd for his one-fifteenth of one percent. The sale to Kidd values the Nets at $750 million, and is the second-highest price paid for NBA team.

Jay-Z owns slightly less than one-fifth of one percent of the Barclays Center. New York City recently appraised the Barclays Center–based on its potential income–to be worth $741 million. That works out to about $1.5 million for Jay-Z’s stake.[/quote_simple]
