Deron Williams will not make trip to London with the Nets

The Brooklyn Nets have announced that Deron Williams will not be accompanying the team on their trip to London to take on the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday Jan. 16th at 3:00pm.
Williams had a cortisone shot in his left ankle and PRP treatment in both ankles on Jan. 7th.
D-Will has missed the last four games since the treatment and will likely not play again until the Martin Luther King Day game on Jan 20th against the New York Knicks.
Rest seems to be the best medicine for his chronically bad ankles at this point so it was a wise decision by management to leave him behind.
Williams was part of the 2012 U.S. Olympic team that won Gold in London at the O2 Arena so it isn’t something that Williams hasn’t seen before.
According to #Nets officials, Deron Williams (sprained left ankle) will not accompany the team to London for Thursday’s game vs. Atlanta.

Last year Deron Williams rested 8 days with PRP & cortisone injections, came back much improved. This year: same treatment, 15 days of rest.
