The Brooklyn Nets made their third trip across the pond and have arrived safely ready to represent the NBA once again.

Brooklyn will be playing the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday at 3pm ET at the O2 Arena on YES and NBATV.

It will be their third game in a row the Nets have played in a different country with their last three games being played in Brooklyn-Toronto-London.

The Nets played a preseason game in 2008 and also two regular-season games, which were the NBA’s first ones in Britain, against the Toronto Raptors in 2011.

Jason Terry believes the trip could be helpful to the tired Nets.

[quote_box]”We’re still a new team,” Terry told the Sydney Morning Herald. “We don’t know each other as well as we could. It’s another chance for us to bond, sort of like we did in preseason. It’s a break, to get away, a breath of fresh air. Then we can come back ready.”[/quote_box]

Brett Yormark, the Nets’ chief executive, said the team seeks out intercontinental trips.

[quote_box]”When the league discusses opportunities to play abroad or internationally, I’m typically one of the first to raise his hand to say, ‘Take us wherever the NBA brand is going,”‘ Yormark said. “The NBA has its own internal scheduling process, but we certainly are aggressive about making sure they know that we want to participate. They also know the U.K. is an important market for us.”

“While we aspire to be global, we also act local, too,” Yormark said. “A lot of teams just can’t do that.”[/quote_box]

NOTES: Each player was allowed to bring one person with them and rookie Mason Plumlee decided to bring his Mom because he currently doesn’t have a girlfriend.
