BREAKING NEWS: Nets and Celtics Talking Blockbuster Trade
Big news has come out from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports a few minutes ago and it involves the Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics.
It seems the Nets are working on a deal that would send Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, Tornike Shengelia along with at least 3 first round picks to Boston for Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce..
The Celtics are in full fledged rebuilding mode right now and ridding themselves of Pierce and Garnett’s salaries while getting as many draft picks as possible seems to be the thought process here.
This would also allow the two veterans to chase another championship in their final years in the NBA.
If this happens the Nets would be locked and loaded to contend for a championship this coming season.

Pierce's salary drops by more than a mil in 2013-14, so Nets would need BOS to pick up Pierce option & then trade him after July 1. BUT …

Idea of Celts taking G. Wallace's deal to swap Pierce/KG for three non-lottery picks hard to fathom. Give Billy King EOY if he pulls it off

Nets obviously want Pierce & KG together to convince KG to waive no-trade clause. But can't get 'em both before July 10. Or w/out Wallace
