BREAKING: ESPN Marc Stein reporting the #Nets "on the verge" of hiring Jason Kidd
News is starting to come out now after Brian Shaw interviewed for almost five hours today with Billy King that Jason Kidd is likely to be named head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.
This is not groundbreaking news at this point but the search for a new head coach seems to be coming to and end with Kidd being named the man in charge with a three year deal.
How things have changed in the last 36 hours for the Nets organization and their direction. Wow
Kudos to King if he makes this decision as he will have a lot on the line with this hire.

The Brooklyn Nets, after completing a five-hour interview with Brian Shaw, are on the verge of hiring Jason Kidd as their next coach, according to sources close to the process.
Sources told ESPN.com that, although Shaw has been targeted by the Nets for some time and made a strong presentation Wednesday, Kidd has convinced Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov and his advisers that he is ready to jump directly into the lead seat on an NBA bench despite the fact that he has no prior coaching experience.
One source briefed on discussions went so far as telling ESPN.com on Wednesday: “The job is Jason’s.”
Said another: “I would be stunned if Jason did not get it.”[/quote_simple]
