BREAKING: Deron Williams Has Cortisone Shot and PRP Treatment

In more Brooklyn Nets injury news –  Deron Williams had a cortisone shot and PRP (platelet rich plasma) treatment done to his sprained left ankle as per Nets officials.

Williams has been hampered by chronic ankle problems for the past two seasons and will now miss the game on Wednesday when they host the Golden State Warriors in Brooklyn.  He will remain in a walking boot in the interim.

This is just one more injury for a Nets team that has been decimated by injuries all season although they seem to have found a rhythm lately with the healthy players they currently have available.

It is not known yet it Williams will make the trip to London for the game against the Hawks on the 16th of January.

Deron Williams Medical Update

Brooklyn, NY – Following an MRI on Monday, January 6, Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams was diagnosed with a sprained left ankle. Williams was treated with a cortisone shot in the ankle joint, as well as platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections into the lateral ligaments of the ankle.

In addition, Williams received a PRP injection into his right ankle and a cortisone injection into his right ankle joint to relieve inflammation. Williams, who will miss Wednesday’s game versus Golden State, is currently in a walking boot and will be re-evaluated at the end of the week.
