NETS STARTERS
The starting lineup will be  Deron Williams playing alongside  Shaun Livingston in the backcourt with  Joe Johnson and Paul Pierce up front and the man in the middle Mason Plumlee.

The Nets continued their winning ways Wednesday night when they went to South Beach and beat the Heat for the third time this season 96-95 in a down to wire thriller.

The win was their seventh in their last eight games and in each game they have held their opponents to under 100 points with stifling defense and converting on turnovers.

Kevin Garnett will miss an eighth straight game due to back spasms.

Andrei Kirilenko will play vs Wizards after sitting out with a sprained ankle and missing Wednesday’s win over Miami.

WIZARDS STARTERS

The Wizards starting lineup will be John Wall and Bradley Beal in the backcourt with Trevor Ariza , Trevor Booker and  Marcin Gortat playing in the frontcourt.

The Wizards avoided a third straight loss with a 105-101 overtime win at Orlando on Friday night. All five starters scored in double figures, including 62 from Beal, Wall and Ariza.

Big man Gortat added 19 points and 14 rebounds for his third straight double-double.

Beal finished with 29 points in the first win over Brooklyn, and John Wall scored 21 to lead seven Wizards in double figures in the second win.

Game Notes:

The Nets have the best record in the East since Jan 1. at 23-9.

If Brooklyn wins it will be their 5th straight victory over teams that are over .500.

The Wizards are looking to sweep the Nets 3-0 after winning the first two games.

[quote_simple]WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Handle the Wiz

The Nets have gone 7-1 in the last two weeks and are allowing just 91.6 points per game – 7.2 less than its season mark

In the last 10 days the Nets have beaten 3 of the 4 other top East teams in Chicago, Toronto and Miami and are making a statement in the process.

Tonight’s game is very important to their playoff seeding as Washington is basically tied with them right now and hold the tie breaker winning the first two games.

Brooklyn needs to show the Wizards that they can beat them and put that doubt in their minds if they meet up in the playoffs.
