The Brooklyn Nets defeated the San Antonio Spurs by a score of 103-89  in Brooklyn.

The Spurs were missing five of their top six scorers for this game so it was a must-win for Brooklyn.

The Nets immediately went down 22-13 to the Spurs and it looked bad a sthey ended the first down 24-17.

It took the sleepy Nets until two minutes left in the half to take the lead at 39-38.

Alan Anderson gave the Nets a huge lift off the bench, leading all scorers with 22 points on 9-of-15 from the field.Mirza Teletovic dunks on the Spurs

The Nets held the advantage in points in the paint, 56-32, and outrebounded the Spurs, 53-38. Brooklyn also managed 29 assists on 46 field goals.

Shaun Livingston had eight points, five rebounds, four assists and four blocks while Andrei Kirilenko had eight rebounds and six assists.

Kevin Garnett is the 18th player in NBA history and the 2nd active player to record 2,000 career blocked shots with his 4th block of the night.

Mirza Teletovic had his fifth game this season with 5+ 3-pointers while the rest of the Nets have 6 games with 5+ threes.

KEY STATS: The Nets have snapped a 26-game streak of failing to score 100 points against the Spurs (last time the Nets scored 100+ vs. SAS: 3/6/00).

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Alan Anderson took over in the third quarter and scored 17 of his game-high 22 points to help Brooklyn put away the pesky Spurs.
