The Brooklyn Nets beat the Philadelphia Sixers last night by a score of 130-94  in Brooklyn.

The Nets went into this game knowing that their big man, Brook Lopez, would again take the night off to heal up some more from his latest ankle injury and they took acre of business right from the start.

Brooklyn came out shooting the three-ball early and looked very good in the first half building a double digit lead.  They did not let the struggling 76ers think they had a chance to get into this game and took control and never relinquished it.  The lead was 58-48 at half and the fireworks didn’t even start yet.

Joe Johnson caught absolute fire in the third quarter and finished 10-for-14 from behind the arc, including 8-of-10 during an incredible third-quarter shooting performance which was most in the NBA this season.  Johnson tied Michael Redd’s NBA record for 3-pointers in a quarter with his 8 in the 3rd quarter.  Johnson scored 29 of his 37 points in that special quarter.Joe Johnson vs Sixers thrid quarter shot chart

The Nets led by as many as 42 points which is the biggest lead of season for Brooklyn.

Mirza Teletovic got his first ever NBA start at power forward and looked very good.  Teletovic finished with 11 points in 26 minutes and he was 4-for-8 from the field,  2-for-6 from 3-point range and grabbed five rebounds for the night.

The 36-point margin of victory was the most lopsided margin of victory for either team in the history of the Nets-Sixers series (173 meetings).
