The Brooklyn Nets beat the Toronto Raptors today by a score of 102-100 in Toronto.

The Nets were desperate for a win and is showed as they came out with good energy to start the game and went up double digits in the first six minutes of play.

Andray Blatche hit his first five shots but Toronto stayed close by hitting their first five 3-pointers.

Toronto shot 9-for-17 from behind the line in the first half with the Nets holding the lead at 55-51 at half. behind 57.5 shooting with only five turnovers.

Nets actually got passed their third quarter misery, for the game at least, and outscored the Raptors 26-25 coming out of halftime to lead 81-76 after three.Mason Plumlee dunks on Raptors

The Nets were called for maybe one of the worst shooting fouls I have ever seen when Steve Novak faked his way into a foul for three shots.  He hit all three free throws and it sparked Toronto to a 14-0 run which cut the lead to 101-100 with .23  left.

Shaun Livingston then went 1-for-2 at the line and Toronto’s Amir Johnson missed a 3-point shot in the corner to end the game.

The Nets could not find a way to stop Demar Derozan for most of the night as he had 27 points through three quarters but was held scoreless in the fourth.

Mason Plumlee (nine points), Alan Anderson (six points) and Tyshawn Taylor (nine points) gave the Nets life off the bench all night long.

Joe Johnson added 21 points, six rebounds and four assists to complement Blatche.

Jason Kidd changed his lineup during the Toronto run, brought back the starters, and it almost cost them the game as they looked out of rhythm.[/box]
