VIDEO RECAP – FINAL: #Pacers 103 – #Nets 86

The Brooklyn Nets lost to the Indiana Pacers last night by a score of 103-86 in Brooklyn.
The Nets first game without their Brook Lopez was not a success and the struggling Nets hung in with the leagues best team for one half and fell apart in the second half.
Brooklyn looked good to start coming out and getting the ball in the paint to take a 16-10 lead only to then give up a 9-1 run to lose the quarter and behind 19-17 after one.
Neither team was shooting very well in the first half as bot shot under 40 percent but Lance Stephenson (26 points 10-of-16 shooting, seven rebounds and five assists) kept the Pacers ahead doing a little bit of everything.
The third quarter was the Nets undoing once again as they lost the quarter 30-19 and the six point halftime lead ballooned to 24 points and the Pacers never looked back.
Deron Williams looked like a shell of himself all night long and was a step behind on everything. He showed no passion or leadership to help his team get through losing their big man for the year. He shot 3-for-9 fp0r nine points and dished out eight assist but did turn the ball over four times and it seemed like 20 turnovers by him. Very discouraging performance from the Nets max player.
Paul Pierce was ejected for a flagrant foul on George Hill in the third quarter as he went for another wide open breakaway layup. He should have not been thrown out but that i sthe Nets season in a nutshell.
The game was out of reach in the fourth quarter and the Pacers, behind MVP candidate Paul George, routed the Nets and had some fun doing it with fast break double-pump dunks and laughing the whole time.
Jason Terry scored 11 points as he returned from a 15-game absence late in the third quarter to provide a minor spark for the Nets.
It was downright embarrassing for everyone and the boos rained down at Barclays Center once again.

[box]KEY STATS: Brooklyn was once again out-rebounded 46-36 and were outscored 13-2 on second chance points.
PLAYER OF THE GAME: Lance Stephenson and Paul George each had 26 points and five assists each in the blowout win.
