The Brooklyn Nets lost to the Detroit Pistons by a score of 111-95  in Detroit.

The game was downright ugly from the opening tip and it looked Brooklyn did not even want to be there.  There was a putrid 1,500 fans in the building so thank god they were the only ones that had to witness the Nets horrendous play.

Brooklyn gave up 30 points in the first quarter and a whopping 37 points in the second to be down 67-44 at half and the game was over at that point.Pistons Andre Drummond dunks on Mason Plumlee

The Nets shot 36 percent from the floor and were never in the game.

Andre Drummond had a career-high 22 rebounds (8 offensive) to go with his 16 points.

Josh Smith added 23 points, eight rebounds and seven assists in the blowut win.

The only quarter that the Nets actually competed was the fourth quarter when the second string was in with Jason Terry hitting six 3-pointers to end up with 18 points.

Deron Williams was downright awful from the outset and recorded his first game without an assist since his rookie season as he shot 4-for-10 and scored 10 points.

“You don’t want to make excuses, it’s tough to get in late but it happens throughout the course of a season. That’s just the nature of the business. And we just weren’t ready to play tonight,” Williams said.
