The Brooklyn Nets beat the Los Angeles Clippers last night by a score of 102-93  in Brooklyn.

The Nets were looking to put together a three-game winning streak with the Clippers coming into town and that is exactly what they did.

The game did not start too well for Brooklyn as they scored a lowly two points in the first five minutes of the game to go down 11-2.  The lead for the Clippers grew to 23-10 before the Nets woke up and started to play some confident basketball.

Once the first quarter ended it seemed like a light went on for Brooklyn and they took off and never looked back. Paul Pierce, coming off the bench for the second straight game, looked very good with the second unit and he led the turnaround for the Nets in the second quarter as he facilitated and got everyone involved.

Deron Williams, coming off a strong 25 point effort in his return, scored 12 points in the last three minutes of the second quarter to give the Nets a 56-44 lead highlighted by a couple of killer crossovers on Chris Paul.

The third quarter was not a problem for Brooklyn in this game and they extended the lead to XX and with two and a half minutes left Andray Blatche put on a show at the Barclays Center for all fans with three straight possessions of guard-like dribbling and silky smooth jumpers toying with Deandre Jordan.  So special that the video is below for your viewing pleasure.

The lead ballooned to 21 points and the Nets did not look back in the fourth quarter to coast to a nice victory.

The one bad moment of the night was when Brook Lopez ,16 points and seven rebounds, seemed to roll his ankle late in the third quarter and his status is unknown for the game against the Pistons tonight.

“He has to be our leader, hands-down,” Paul Pierce said. “He changes the outlook of this team, and if you just look, we look like a whole different team now with him out there. We’re able to get easier baskets, put pressure on the defense, understanding what we’re trying to accomplish out there.

“A lot of times we look kind of unorganized, but with him out there as a leader, as a point guard, he puts us in our right spots, and that’s what I envisioned.”[/quote_box]
