The Brooklyn Nets lost to the Boston Celtics by a score of 91-84 in Boston.

The two previous games Brooklyn came out hot and took a nice lead to start the game so immediately they began the opposite way in this one and it was ugly.

The Nets tarted slow getting down 7-2 and Rajon Rondo was hot hitting 4-for-5 from the field and 2-for-2 from 3-point range for 10 points in the first.  The Nets did force six turnovers but were out rebounded 15-3 and shot 0-for-8 from three after one quarter.  Paul Pierce had eight points to lead Brooklyn.

The Celtics played at a gear ahead of the Nets the entire first half and hammered them on the boards 27-14.  Brooklyn shot a putrid 0-for-17 from 3-point range, which is an NBA season low,  to be down 53-41 at halftime.  Joe Johnson had 11 points and Pierce had 10 points in a very sub par half in Boston.

Deron Williams turned it on on a bit in the third hitting a couple of threes and spurred Brooklyn to a 11-0 run to climb to within 70-68 with two minutes left in third. The Celtics regained momentum and led 77-70 after three quarters.

Th fourth quarter was downright ugly on both sides with a 4-13 score and that tells the story of this very bad loss for the Nets.

Nets blow and important road game by playing lazy and shooting 4-30 from 3-point range.

The Nets are now 1-12 when held under 89 points this season and their only win came at Boston 1/26 (85-79).

Johnson finished with 21 points and seven rebounds.

Deron Williams scored his 11,000th career point in this game and ended up with 20 points.
