The Brooklyn Nets beat the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 127-110 in London.

Brooklyn didn’t come out sluggish as most thought they would being in London and running around all week but they put up a solid 31 points in the first quarter to get things started.

Joe Johnson did not seemed fazed at all by the London experience and came out hot again with 15 points and 11 straight points in the opening quarter.

He has really been getting the Nets off to good starts with solid first quarters and in his last five first quarters combined (including today’s game) he has 55 points (23-33 shooting, 69.7%), 8 assists, 0 turnovers.

Johnson is the 20th player in NBA history with 1,500 career three-pointers and he also moved past Drazen Petrovic into 10th place on the Nets’ all-time made three-pointers list with the solid 23 points at half.At the half the Nets led the Hawks 65-53 behind Johnson’s 26 points on 10-13 and 5-of-7 from 3-point line.

The Nets have scored a season-high 65 points in tonight’s first half shooting 55 percent to the Hawks 51 percent. The Nets also out-rebounding the Hawks 21-13.

The ball movement for the Nets was tremendous and it showed when they dished out more assists (18) in tonight’s first half than they did in their last meeting with the Hawks on 1/6 (17).

The Hawks came out playing a bit better to start the second half and it was 76-64 midway through third when Jason Kidd took a timeout. The Nets then went on a 23-10 run behind three 3-pointers by Alan Anderson and another dagger from Johnson at the horn which was his only second half basket.

The score was 99-74 after three and the game was over.

Kevin Garnett seemed to have found his shot the last four games and hit 6-for-8 for 12 points.

Brooklyn’s starting unit through three quarters went for 80 points (33-54 FG, 12-18 3PT FG).

The lead got to 30 points with eight minutes left at 111-81 when Kidd emptied bench in with seven minutes left.

Everyone that played made it into the scoring column in this blowout 127-110 win in London.

KEY STATS: Nets shot 58% from the field and went 16-27 for 59% from 3-point range to go with 38 assists. The rebounds also went in Brooklyn’s favor with a 40-28 edge and 12 offensive rebounds.

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Andray Blatche 20 points,14 rebounds (6 off) and six assists to go with one block.
