The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 103-94 in Brooklyn.

For the second game in a row the Nets started off on an 8-0 run and continued to build it to a 26-5 lead.  The Grizzlies started 1-for-11 with five turnovers while Nets went 7-for-11.  It got sloppy late in the quarter with the Nets last 10 possessions yielding six turnovers but they held on to lead 30-19 after one.

Marcus Thornton came off the bench to score 15 straight points with back-to-back 3-pointers in the middle to push the lead back to double digits and settle the Nets back down to lead at half 54-44.

Thornton had 15 points and Paul Pierce had 12 points to lead the Nets at half.

Brooklyn came out of halftime and went on 9-0 run to push the lead to 63-44 behind more Thornton scoring.

Everything fell for the Nets in the third as they blistered the Grizzlies 33-16 to lead 87-60 after three.

The fourth quarter was a complete and utter debacle when the bench came in and got scorched by the Grizzlies bench to allow the lead to shrink to single digits. It got so bad that Kidd put his starters back in with four minutes to play to finish the game.

Joe Johnson found his scoring touch and dropped 21 points and hit 5-of-7 from deep to go with four assists.

The Nets won in wire-to-wire fashion for the seventh time this season and the third straight game doing so.

Brooklyn shot 51% from the field and a whopping 15-for-26 from 3-point range for 58%.

The Nets have now won six straight at home, four straight games overall, and are now over .500 for the first time this season at 30-29.

The Nets have recorded 14+ steals in 3 straight games for the 2nd time in the franchise’s NBA history (last accomplished: 12/7-12/12/85).
