The Brooklyn Nets defeated the Charlotte Bobcats by a score of 104-99 in Brooklyn.

The game was crisp and both teams mirrored each other back and forth for a 15-13 Nets lead midway through the first. Mason Plumlee was active early with nine points and three rebounds to match Al Jefferson in the first quarter and helped Brooklyn to a 26-21 lead.

The Nets picked up the defensive pressure in the second and pushed the lead to 35-25 with the second unit being run by Shaun Livingston. Ex-Nets Chris Douglas Roberts came on to spark the Bobcats with 10 points to take a 42-40 lead. A 11-2 Brooklyn run got the momentum back and a 54-46 halftime lead.  Deron Williams and Livingston led the Nets with 11 points each while Joe Johnson had 10 points and five boards.

The Bobcats continued to force the ball to Jefferson and he heated up in the third with three straight jumpers to bring the Bobcats to working 66-63 with four to play. Brooklyn fought back with their bench and utilized the free throw line to get the lead to 75-70 after three quarters.
