Paul Pierce hit three 3-pointers and Andray Blatche scored nine points after the first quarter where both teams shot over 50% and the Nets had zero turnovers.

Mirza Teletovic came in and hit two threes and a layup to get Brooklyn off to an 8-0 run to start second while Brooklyn held the Bobcats to 15 points in second to take a 50-44 halftime lead.  The Nets bench had 23 points and 11 rebounds.

The Nets outscored the Bobcats 35-19 to extend a slim six point halftime lead to a 85-63 lead after three quarters and the game was all but over.

The bench came in and played the entire fourth quarter to close out this game and the Nets 11th win in their last 13 home games 105-89.

Joe Johnson (8 points) and Williams (13 points and 7 assists) both had quiet games again but with the bench playing as well as they are it really doesn’t matter right now.

“Right now, after you get past the All-Star break, it’s the stretch run” said Pierce.  “It’s gonna be a tough road trip, but this is that part of the season where on the road like that, you’ve gotta have a great sense of urgency. You’ve gotta know what’s coming on, you’ve gotta expect it to be tough. We haven’t been a great road team, so this is a moment of truth for us right now.”
