REPORTS: Nets and Lawrence Frank reach buyout agreement
Reports are surfacing today that the Brooklyn Nets and exiled assistant coach Lawrence Frank have agreed to a buyout of the remaining years of his contract.
It is being reported that Frank will once again join Doc Rivers, whom he coached with prior with the Boston Celtics, and become and assistant coach with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Frank signed six-year, $6 million contract with the Nets last summer which reportedly includes hefty performance bonuses, multiple balloon payments and the promise of a front office job after the fifth year.
The embarrassment the Nets organization felt because of Jason Kidd’s power-laden antics will now soon be over and Frank can continue his coaching career elsewhere and be happy once again.
