REPORT: Nets set to interview Lionel Hollins
The Brooklyn Nets are now right back where they were last offseason – looking for a new head coach.
The exodus of the now banished legend Jason Kidd is complete and he is all set to coach the woeful Milwaukee Bucks for a rumored $12-$15 million for the next three years.
League source said Kidd’s contract with Bucks will be for three years and final numbers still being discussed. From $12 mil to $15 mil.

Kidd is looking to take a couple, if not all, of his current Nets assistants with him and it has been reported that he will take Eric Hughes and Sean Sweeney so far.
That leaves Nets fans wondering who will be the coach of their franchise now?
The latest report came from ,who else, Adrian Wojnarowski that Brooklyn is set to interview ex-Grizzlies coach Lionel Hollins in the next 24-48 hours.
Brooklyn has set a meeting with its top coaching target, Lionel Hollins, league sources tell Yahoo. Sides will sit down in next 24-48 hours. — Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) June 30, 2014
Last year, the Nets requested permission to speak to Hollins when the Grizzlies thought they still had a shot to retain him and were denied that permission. Brooklyn did not ask again once denied.
Hollins is said to be the “favorite” right now although names like Etorre Messina, Mark Jackson and George Karl have been flying around all day. Some reports even have Jeff Van Gundy in the mix but he looks like a longshot to me.

Lionel Hollins, George Karl and Mark Jackson also candidates in Brooklyn. And Messina … who has deep ties to Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov

From the looks of this list the Nets are looking for an experienced coach to come and stabilize the current situation and get out of the news cycle for the wrong reasons. I agree.
