NETS STARTERS
The starting lineup will be  Deron Williams playing alongside  Shaun Livingston in the backcourt with  Joe Johnson and Paul Pierce up front and the man in the middle Mason Plumlee.

The Nets are looking to bounce back from a horribly played game on Wednesday night at MSG where they got dump-trucked by the Knicks 110-81.

They are trying extend the longest home winning streak in franchise history and avoid a four-game season sweep at the hands of the lowly Pistons.

Andrei Kirilenko will play tonight after missing six games with an ankle injury.

Kevin Garnett will miss a 19th straight game due to back spasms but will be with the team tonight and travel to Philadelphia tomorrow.

PISTONS STARTERS

The Pistons starting lineup will be Brandon Jennings and Kyle Singler in the backcourt with Josh Smith, Greg Monroe and  Andre Drummond playing in the frontcourt.

Detroit has dropped out of the Eastern Conference playoff picture behind a rough 5-19 slide. where they dropped 15-of-16 games on the road.

Monroe has posted three straight double-doubles, averaging 21.7 points and 13.3 boards.  His career averages of 17.3 points and 62.8 percent shooting versus the Nets are his highest against any opponent.

GAME NOTES:

A win would extend the team’s franchise-record home winning streak to 15 games.

Brooklyn is 21-2 in their last 23 home games.

The Nets are looking to snap a three-game losing streak to the Pistons this season.

[quote_simple]WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Rebound to win

Brookly’sn inability to rebound the ball has cost them three straight games against the dysfunctional Pistons and they are getting out-rebounded by an average of 10.3 and outscored in the paint by an average of 23.3 points.

Drummond is averaging 19.0 points and 17.5 boards in the last two matchups with the Nets and done it in dominant fashion.

The Nets haven’t been swept by Detroit since 2007-08 and tonight’s effort will tell a lot about this teams ability to rebound literally and figuratively.
