NETS STARTERS
The starting lineup will be  Deron Williams playing alongside  Shaun Livingston in the backcourt with  Joe Johnson and Paul Pierce up front and the man in the middle Kevin Garnett.

The Nets bounced back from their putrid loss to the Knicks with a solid 15th straight home victory beating the Detroit Pistons 116-104 behind Mirza Teletovic’s 20 points and the all-around great play of Shaun Livingston who scored 23 points.

Brooklyn is continuing its pursuit of home-court advantage in the first round while trying to avoid a fourth straight road loss to the tanking Sixers in a must-win for the Nets as they can’t lose to these Sixers twice this season.

Kevin Garnett will make his return after missing the last 19 games with back spasms.

SIXERS STARTERS

The Sixers starting lineup will be Michael Carter-Williams and James Anderson in the backcourt with Thaddeus Young, Hollis Thompson and  Henry Sims playing in the frontcourt.

Philadelphia has won two of four since tying an NBA record with 26 straight losses and are coming off a win where Henry Sims had a career-high 24 in a 111-102 win at Boston.

Carter-Williams had 21 points on Feb. 3 as the Sixers comeback attempt came up short in a 108-102 loss in Brooklyn and Evan Turner scored 29 – including the game-winning jumper as time expired in a 121-120 overtime home win Dec. 20

GAME NOTES:

Brooklyn is trying to snap a three-game road losing streak with a win in Philadelphia.

The Nets and Sixers meet for the fourth and final time this season tonight (Nets lead the series 2-1).

The Nets are 2-6 on the road when playing the second game of a back-to-back.

[quote_simple]WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Do your job

There is a simple way to think about tonight’s game and that is to go down to Philadelphia and take care of business against a horrendous basketball team.

The Nets cannot afford to lose a game like this even if it is the second game of a back-to-back – not against this team.

Welcome back KG and put this bad team away by simply doing your job.
