NETS STARTERS
The starting lineup will be  Deron Williams playing alongside  Alan Anderson in the backcourt with  Joe Johnson and Mirza Teletovic up front and the man in the middle Kevin Garnett.

The Nets went into Miami and finished off a four-game sweep of the Miami heat last night 88-87.   The Nets are the firstteam to sweep the Heat in a 4-game regular season series since the 2007-08 season.

Brooklyn hopes to continue playing well on the road as it goes after its first three-game winning streak on the road since Jan. 16-26.

Paul Pierce (right hip pointer) and Shaun Livingston (sprained big toe) will not play tonight to more or less give them the night off to rest down the stretch.

MAGIC STARTERS

The Magic starting lineup will be Jameer Nelson and Arron Afflalo in the backcourt with Maurice Harkless, Kyle O’Quinn and  Nikola Vucevic playing in the frontcourt.

The Magic won on Saturday when they got hot from deep hitting 9-for-17 from 3-point range in a 100-92 home win over Minnesota.

They had dropped 12 of their last 14 before beating the Timberwolves and currently reside in last place as they rebuild.  They will see the return of Vucevic, who has missed the past two games because of a sore Achilles.

GAME NOTES:

Brooklyn is looking for their  fourth straight victory and their seventh win in their last eight games.

Paul Pierce needs to score five points to become the fourth active player (Bryant, Garnett and Nowitzki) and the 18th player in NBA history to score 25,000 career points.

The Nets are trying to match their season-best three-game road winning streak with a win.

[quote_simple]WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Rest Days

With the Nets shocking the Heat in Miami last night and sweeping them in the season series 4-0 they will now start to rest some players in their last six games to get ready for the playoffs.

Jason Kidd has done a masterful job keeping the minutes down on his starters all season and the way they are playing down the stretch is proof positive he knew what he was doing.

Tonight Pierce and Livingston will get a much deserved rest day in the sunshine of Orlando.
