NETS STARTERS
The starting lineup will be  Deron Williams playing alongside  Shaun Livingston in the backcourt with  Joe Johnson and Paul Pierce up front and the man in the middle Mason Plumlee.

The Nets went to Philadelphia and held on after squandering a 20-point lead to beat the hapless Sixers 105-101 on Saturday night as the first game of this mini three-game road trip.

Brooklyn, who is coming off its fifth win in six games, has beaten the Heat all three times they have played this season and are going for the season sweep tonight

No team has ever beaten the Heat’s Big Three four times in the regular season and they have only been beaten by Dallas in the Finals.

Kevin Garnett will miss this game as a coaches decision to rest him but will return tomorrow night in Orlando.

HEAT STARTERS

The Heat starting lineup will be Mario Chalmers and Tony Allen in the backcourt with Lebron James, Shane Battier and  Chris Bosh playing in the frontcourt.

Miami has won five of six after beating the Knicks 102-91 in Miami on Sunday afternoon.

Wade has missed the last six games with a strained left hamstring and his status for tonight game is still unclear.

This will be a “nickname” game for both teams.

GAME NOTES:

Joe Johnson has made at least one three-pointer in a career-best 25 straight games.

[quote_simple]WHAT TO LOOK FOR

The Truth

Paul Pierce is only 19 points shy of becoming the 18th player in NBA history to reach 25,000 points for his career.

Pierce may be averaging a career-low 13.5 points per game but he’s been quite the opposite when he plays the Heat with 23.7 points per game this season.

The Truth always comes to play in big games and against the NBA’s biggest names and he may just move up the ladder tonight with his nickname on his jersey to prove it.
