NETS STARTERS

The starting lineup will be  Jorge Gutierrez playing alongside Marcus Teague in the backcourt with Marcus Thornton and Andray Blatche up front and the man in the middle Jason Collins.

The Nets have gone 1-3 in their last four games after their defeat of the Heat and look completely disinterested in finishing out the regular season.  The will get their wish tonight in the regular season finale in Cleveland and the playoffs being this weekend.

Brooklyn will continue to rest players as they have for the past three games and the lineup will be short again tonight.

CAVALIERS  STARTERS

The Cavaliers starting lineup will be Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters in the backcourt with Alonzo Gee , Tristan Thompson and  Spencer Hawes playing in the frontcourt.

The Cavaliers will miss the playoffs for a fourth straight season and have dropped four of their last five games.

Their last game was a horrible 96-85 loss at NBA-worst Milwaukee on Friday and a 111-99 home defeat to lowly Boston on Saturday.

Cleveland has dropped 10 of the last 13 meetings with the Nets.

GAME NOTES:

With a win it would give the Nets their third win this season against the Cavaliers.

The Nets are trying to improve their all-time record in season finales to 14-24 and clinch a winning record this season against the Eastern Conference (currently 26-25)

Paul Pierce became the only active player in the NBA (and just the sixth player in NBA history) to score 1,000 points in 15 or more consecutive seasons.

[quote_simple]WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Get a W where it started

The Nets go back to the place where the disappointment began in October – good old Cleveland Ohio.

Can the Nets finish this roller coaster season with a win or are they really trying to be the sixth seed to avoid the Chicago Bulls? No one knows but from the looks of the last three games they may just be doing that.

Hey Nets fans be careful for what you wish for as Toronto is more formidable than you may think.
