NETS STARTERS
The starting lineup will be  Deron Williams playing alongside  Shaun Livingston in the backcourt with  Joe Johnson and Paul Pierce up front and the man in the middle Mason Plumlee.

The Nets took all the good feelings from the overtime Dallas win and dump them in the trash as they blew a 22-point lead the next night against the New Orleans Pelicans and dropped a heart breaker 109-104 in overtime.

Brooklyn is looking to get back into the win column tonight and finish this mini three-game road trip 2-1 to return home just a single game behind the Atlantic Division leading Toronto Raptors.  Their defense that let them down in the in the second half of the Pelicans game and the great defense since Jan 1. has to return for them to grab this win in Charlotte.

Deron Williams (illness) and Marcus Thornton(bruised lower back) will both be gametime decisions and Thornton is unlikely to play as per reports.

Kevin Garnett will miss a 14th straight game due to back spasms.

BOBCATS  STARTERS

The Bobcats starting lineup will be Brian Roberts and Eric Gordon in the backcourt with Tyreke Evans, Anthony Davis and  Greg Stiemsma playing in the frontcourt.

The Bobcats are coming off a loss to Houston on Monday where they shot 37.2 percent of its attempts and going 4 of 21 from beyond the arc in a 100-89 home loss Monday.

Jefferson has been held in check by the Nets in the last two meetings where he is just 13 of 32 with 30 points but the rest of the league is feeling the brunt of his great play these last two months.

GAME NOTES:

A win would be Brooklyn’s e team’s 10th victory in their last 11 games against the Bobcats and their fifth victory in their last six games in Charlotte.

If Brooklyn wins it would be 11 wins and second most in team history in March (12 in 2006).

The Nets are 2-1 in the season series this year and are looking to win the tiebreaker with the Bobcats tonight.

[quote_simple]WHAT TO LOOK FOR

The past is the past

The Nets let one slip away on Sunday night when they blew a huge lead with lackadaisical defense in the second half and it cost them a big game in the standings.

The euphoria from the Dallas OT win was washed away with the bad taste of losing to a non-playoff team and giving a game away in New Orleans the way they did.

Good teams are able to put the past in the past and move onto the next game when they lose a tough one or give a game away.

The Nets should be able to do so tonight if they are as good as we now know they are since Jan 1.

Coach Kidd – “No one cares who scores, it’s all about Brooklyn.”
