[quote_simple]NETS STARTERS
The starting lineup tonight will be  Deron Williams playing alongside Shaun Livingston in the backcourt with Alan Anderson, Paul Pierce up front and the man in the middle Kevin Garnett.

The Nets let a game slip away when they couldn’t grab a rebound in the final minutes and succumbed to the Indiana Pacers 97-96 on Saturday night.

Brooklyn has a winnable game with the struggling Philadelphia 76ers coming in tonight and it should give them a good chance to bounce back from back-to-back losses to the leagues elite.

Williams is struggling in the last few games and his shot is not falling and his confidence level is at an all-time low after going 3-for-13 against Indiana.  A big game tonight would go a long way to get him into a groove to lead this team into the All-Star break on a good note.

[box]Injury News:

Andrei Kirilenko is listed as doubtful to play tonight with a sore calf.

Andray Blatche missed the Pacers game with a sore left hip and is listed as a game-time decision tonight.

The Sixers starting lineup will be Michael Carter-Williams and James Anderson in the backcourt with Evan Turner, Thaddeus Young and  Spencer Hawes playing in the frontcourt.

Carter-Williams sat out the first meeting due to a skin infection but had 15 points and 10 assists in a 121-120 overtime win in Philadelphia four days later. Turner scored 29 points, including the winning basket on a driving layup as time expired.

Philadelphia has dropped 12 of its last 15 while averaging only 96.1 points in the process.

Carter-Williams is a game-time decision tonight and the Sixers are 1-11 without  him this season.

[quote_simple][box]Game Notes:

Brooklyn is looking to prevent their first three-game home losing streak in 2014.

The Nets and Sixers meet for the third time this season and the second time in Brooklyn tonight.

In two games vs the Sixers in December, the Nets averaged 125.0 points on 54.6 percent shooting, including 36-68 (52.9 percent) from three-point range.

Grab some rebounds

The Nets re hurting up front right now with Kirilenko and Blatche being injured and in turn they have hammered on the boards the past two games.

They set and NBA record-low of 17 rebounds Friday night against the Thunder at home and were out-rebounded 47-26 to the Pacers on Saturday night so the situation needs to be rectified tonight.

The entire team needs to make a more concerted effort to rebound the ball to have any kind of chance of competing with the bigger Sixers frontline.
