[quote_simple]NETS STARTERS
The starting lineup tonight will be  Deron Williams playing alongside Shaun Livingston in the backcourt with Alan Anderson, Paul Pierce up front and the man in the middle Andray Blatche.

The Nets found a way to beat the injury struck Spurs last night minus their top six scorers with Alan Anderson getting hot in the third quarter to help Brooklyn to a 103-89 win at home.

Brooklyn has to keep the momentum they have gotten from this two-game winning streak and go into the Palace and take a nice road win home to face the Pelicans Sunday.

Maybe DWill will show up tonight and give the Nets a much needed spark to make up for the rebounding of the Pistons.

[box]Injury News:

Kevin Garnett will get the night off to rest on the second leg of the back-to-back.

PISTONS STARTERS

The Pistons starting lineup will be Brandon Jennings and Kyle Singler in the backcourt with Josh Smith, Greg Monroe and  Andre Drummond  playing in the frontcourt.

Singler made his second start of the season Wednesday and scored 11 points in the loss to Orlando.

Drummond (13 rebounds) and Monroe (11 boards) had 22 points apiece in the last meeting with the Nets.

Rodney Stuckey is averaging 22.0 points against the Nets this season.

[quote_simple][box]Game Notes:

Detroit has won both games this season (one in Brooklyn and one in Detroit).

With last night’s victory over San Antonio, the Nets improved to 12-4 since the start of January.

The Pistons are 3 1/2 games behind the seventh-place Nets.

[quote_simple]WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Beat bad teams

The Nets need to come out tonight without Garnett and match the Pistons on the boards to have any shot of winning this game in Detroit.

The Pistons have hammered Brooklyn inside both games this season and they have been outscored the Nets 116-60 in paint and out-rebounded them 87-73.

Beat the struggling Pistons in their building, win your third straight and get within 2 games of .500 and maybe even grab a game in the division with the Raptors taking on the Clippers in LA.
