Nets OFFICIALLY announce hiring of Sean Marks as GM

The gamesmanship is over and the Brooklyn Nets have officially announced that Sean Marks has been named the teams next general manager.

The last day or so has been quite interesting to say the least as the Nets and owner Mikhail Prokhorov were playing coy about offering the job to Marks.  It seems that Marks had some final issues to work out with his job duties and role in the organization.

Regardless of the exhaustive vetting process by the Nets and the so-called power play made by Marks to get as much power as he wanted the deal got done.

Nets have hired Sean Marks as their new general manager, per the team.

The Nets and Marks agreed to a four-year contract, league sources told The Vertical.

Here is the message sent from Prokhorov:
