Brooklyn Nets are in the middle of their worst losing streak  of the season and coincidentally it has come since Brook Lopez was injured.  The Nets lost a heart breaker last night to the hated NY Knicks at home and it couldn’t come at a worse time.  The loss was a game the Nets should have won after blowing a 17-point lead and let the game slip away on their home floor with a 100-97 loss.

“This was a winnable game, but we just couldn’t quite close it,” coach Avery Johnson said.

The Toronto Raptors are struggling big-time as well and they wont have recently suspended forward Amir Johnson tonight when they play in Toronto because he threw his mouthpiece when arguing with a referee last week.

Brooklyn shot 52.9 percent – its second-best mark of the season – but only 45.2 percent in the second half as New York took advantage.

Andray Blatche, who is averaging 18.2 points starting in place of Lopez, hit 9 of 13 from the field and scored a season-high 23 points and Deron Williams added 18 and 10 assists in the loss.

Tonight in Canada is a MUST WIN!
