The Nets look to get the bad taste of a nationally televised holiday disaster out of their mouths when they go out to play the Milwaukee Bucks tonight. The Bucks have now won 12 straight over the Nets heading into Wednesday night’s meeting at the Bradley Center.

Milwaukee won 97-88 at Brooklyn on Dec. 9 and the score was closer than the game really was.

Yesterday’s game in Brooklyn was something that the Nets NEED to put behind them quickly before the entire season spirals out of control as they have now lost four out of five and are struggling to score 80 points per game.

“We didn’t do a good job of taking and making our wide-open shots,” said coach Avery Johnson. “And when you don’t take and make your wide-open shots, when you miss as many free throws as we did today and you turn the ball over, it puts a lot of pressure on your defense.”

Johnson used a smaller lineup for the second straight game with Keith Bogans starting at the SF and Gerald Wallace starting at PF for Kris Humphries. This lineup started out playing well in the first quarter and then did not crack 20 points in any other of the three quarters.

The Nets need to find the team they were in November or coach Johnson may have to start updating his resume as Brooklyn fans are not happy and a $330 million dollar lineup must do more.
